THE LAST MILE - Earthquake Risk Mitigation Assistance in Developing Countries

Haresh Shah is a professor emeritus and former Chairman of the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Stanford University. He is the Founding Director of Risk Management Solutions, Inc. and serves on the executive board of several other companies and organizations involved in risk management of natural hazards. He is an active consultant to government agencies and worked through UNESCO and other groups to improve earthquake safety through building codes and construction practice throughout the world.
