At its June meeting, the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC) honored Eduardo Miranda with an Honorary Membership award in recognition of his contributions to the structural engineering profession.
Introducing the award, Greg Deierlein noted Miranda’s more than 30 years of impact on earthquake engineering research, education, and practice—work first inspired by his personal experience during the 1985 Mexico City earthquake.
The Structural Engineers Association of Northern California (SEAONC) designates Honorary Members to individuals in special recognition of outstanding contributions to the excellence of the structural engineering profession. This distinguished honor is reserved for leaders and visionaries in the field.
